Fake, Volume 1 by Sanami Matoh

3.0

Ah, FAKE, my utterly problematic love. In the first volume, we're introduced to the main characters, Dee Laytner and Randy Ryo Maclean. And, because this is a BL manga, we're also introduced to Dee's obstinate refusal to take "no" and "stop" for answers. It's not too bad in the first manga - just a surprise kiss - but it does ramp up throughout the series, making the main pairing super problematic. But the characters are nicely developed, and, unlike a lot of other BL manga, a lot of the story actually revolves around their work as detectives in the NYPD.
