The Woods introduces Paul Copeland, a New Jersey county prosecutor still grappling with the loss of his sister, who vanished twenty years ago. When a homicide victim is discovered with ties to her disappearance, hope ignites that she might still be alive. But as Paul delves deeper, dark secrets from his family's past threaten to unravel everything he's fought to maintain.

This was my first Harlan Coben book, and it definitely won’t be my last! The plot kept me on my toes, filled with twists that had me crafting wild theories about who could be trusted and who couldn’t. The pacing was spot on, keeping the suspense high without ever dragging. I also appreciated the writing style, which flowed smoothly and kept me engaged throughout.

The narrator did a fantastic job, bringing the characters and tension to life. By the time I reached the ending, I felt a satisfying ending, yet it left me eager for more.
