I wanted to like this so much I even restarted it.
But I was so. Bored.
+ No romance was nice.
+ Very little sexualizing characters was nice.
+ Some of the fighting was cool.
- Starting with THAT prologue? Awful and confusing.
- Immediately bombarded with names, locations, and cultures. Let me give a shit about a character first, sheesh.
- Didn't develop concern for any of the characters, except maybe Andry. If a reader can't care about the MC, you're not doing it right.
- 500 year olds surely aren't that naive.
- They traveled so much yet I felt like nothing really happened...
I won't be reading the second. Bleh
