The Faithful Spy by Alex Berenson

4.0

I liked how John Wells had to make tough choices; few were black and white and it was interesting to see how he dealt with the varying shades of gray. The romance part wasn't great, but it was mostly inconsequential and not entirely unrealistic. It did bother me that Exley was so willing to jeopardize her career for someone who, after being out of contact for a decade, she didn't even really know. There was enough back story to become invested in the characters, but not so much that it was obtrusive. All in all, I was pleased with the story, plot, and pace and I will read more of the John Wells books.
