I really wanted to like this book. The concept is super cute but the execution isn't. The only thing I liked was Devin and the trans rep (love that neopronouns were included!)
I think my biggest issue was that the description of this book is very misleading. Maybe that's just a me problem bc I know some people don't like reading the descriptions. But I was expecting a cute fake dating story... and that's not what this was.
The main character is so insufferable and self-absorbed. Like I know characters can have flaws but there's a difference between having flaws and just being a bad person/friend/boyfriend. It felt like every relationship the main character had was toxic. Why do people still hang out with him? I will never know.
Also, the two romantic relationships that happen in this book felt very insta-lovey?Like because we were spending so much time with Drew in the first half, we barely got to build up the relationship with Devin and it all just felt very rushed at the end.
