Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.
I don't understand why we're writing explicit sex scenes about a 16 year-old girl in a book written for adults. The main character is also very men-writing-women. I don't feel like the author understands what it's like to be a teen girl or a woman. The narration style I couldn't get into. The footnotes felt unnecessary most of the time and pulled me out of the story.
The prolouge got me really excited but immediately after I was already disappointed.
