Not for me.
I feel like this was written in a very YA tone and had random X material that felt SO out of place. The "slow burn" was absolutely non existent and you could not pay me to believe that Mac and Barrons have any chemistry. The constant use of unnecessary detail of her appearance dates the book almost as awfully as the current event references of the time the book was written, it did not age well and really took me out of the book. The majority of 'plot twists' were unnecessary and didn't add anything to the story line.
I read this book as a buddy read for a friend and will not be reading another in this series.
