In my quest to read all of Lisa Kleypas's historical romance backlist, I thought I would dive into reading The Hathaway series. Man this was not the book for me. I didn't like either main character, Amelia or Cam, and I forced myself to push through it. I didn't find there to be any chemistry between them. Cam was very overbearing and Amelia was too stubborn, and I just found myself getting annoyed at them constantly. Also, the edition I read had not been updated to replace the use of g*psy to Roma/Romani, and I found that slightly uncomfortable to read.
