Two Can Play by Ali Hazelwood

3.5

3.5/5

This book did not live up to my expectations. The beginning is a lot of telling instead of showing, so it is hard to actually connect to the characters and their "rivalry". This also was very predictable and cliché; I am all for a cookie cutter romance, but you have to develop your characters enough to actually get us to still root for them. The story also ended very abruptly. All in all, I would have rather this would have been developed into a fully thought out novel, rather than a rushed novella.
