I found the main character Colin incredibly annoying. I don’t know how many times I “eye rolled” from him being so blah. It’s kind of the typical YA novel where the main character experiences heartbreak and in the end they begin to love themself.
One thing I really enjoyed was the dialogue, which is always one of Green’s talents as a writer. I loved the use of different languages scattered about. Also, the conflict of dying American factories was a nice touch in there.
