Parallel Worlds: The Science of Alternative Universes & Our Future in the Cosmos by Michio Kaku

4.0

I enjoyed it very much - some of Kaku's explanations for Newtonian vs quantum theories are just so clear and easy to understand; and his writing is free of arrogance (albeit a bit too flowery for my taste). The first two parts were my favourites - I felt like I was learning so much, which is just such a rewarding feeling. I'm looking forward to reading up more and being able to revisit it with a more critical eye.

Quick note: He does mention God a few times, but my impression is that it's never proselytizing or without considering the atheist version. I don't necessarily think all scientists must be atheist, or that science should eradicate religion, so I didn't find it grating at all. To each their own.
