Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King

4.0

This book would have earned at least 4.5 stars if the battle was a bit more interesting. After reading Battle of the Mejis, this felt a let down. I loved the details though, and how the characters were gradually developed. Roland, from an uncaring jerk to a leader that worries about his ka-tet; Eddie, from a quick tempered fool to a patient, wise young man; Susannah, from Detta/Odetta to herself; and Jake. The first kill, the first death, and growing up.

The complications of Susanah's pregnancy had me intrigued, and terrified of what the chap is.

4.2 stars.
