Double Crossed by Colbie Kay

challenging dark emotional hopeful reflective tense fast-paced

3.0

Double Crossed is a novella crossover between the Satan's Sinners MC and the Sinning Cobras MC series by Colbie Kay. If you have not read the Satan's Sinner MC series or at least book 1 City Lights then you won't understand all the parts of this story. This is a second-chance love story full of heartbreak, betrayal, and finding love again.
Snake is the president of the Cobras MC and Victoria is a rich girl that he fell in love with. We've met them both in the series already and this is their story. Snake and Victoria loved each other as much as they could but unfortunately, they both had people that didn't want them being together. Victoria was betrayed by her jealous best friend Marie and Snake was betrayed by one of his brothers. After being torn apart Victoria leaves and finds herself a new family with the Satans Sinners MC. At first, she was just getting over her broken heart with Bulk until she realized she was pregnant and didn't know if he or Snake was the father. Snake ends up having a daughter Jacey who becomes his world and Victoria has a son Dominic. Both do not get a happy ending though when Marie leaves with Jacey and he doesn't see her again until she's an adult. And Bulk becomes abusive to Victoria and when he finds out she plans to leave he kicks her out and keeps Dominic. Fast forward decades and they finally see each other again thanks to their children and possibly get their happy ever after finally.
I gave this book a 3-star rating and a 2-spicy rating because it didn't seem like a full story to me. Yes, it was supposed to be the story of Snake and Victoria but I would have liked to have more of their lives separately included to see how they became who they were when they saw each other again. I'm a huge fan of Colbie Kay's and her Satan's Sinners MC and I'm really glad she did come out with this story since it was nice to fill in some of the gaps I've questioned.
