Swann's Way by Marcel Proust

Though beautifully written with very intricate details and often thought provoking, I much preferred the first and third parts; Swann’s intense toxicity, jealousy, and sexism made the second part almost unbearable. I don’t know if the book is quite what I imagined it would be.
