I did not realise quite how much sex would be involved in this book! Gabaldons writing is evocative and engaging, and she really does bring the Scottish Highlands and it's people to life. The characters are well rounded and likeable. Felt like there was one too many 'then he swung in and saved the day' tropes, and several sections dragged due to their pure bulk, but overall an enjoyable read (the audiobook was particularly enjoyable with the excellent accents by Davina Porter). Looking forward to seeing where Jamie and Claire end up in Dragonfly in Amber!
