Those Girls by Chevy Stevens

challenging dark emotional tense medium-paced

4.0

My first Chevy Stevens book. This was a raw, descriptive, gritty, realistic thriller. At time very hard to read about. Child abuse, and sexual assault/violence, death of a loved one are in this story. This story revolves around 3 girls Jamy, Dani, and Courtney who live with their abusive father after their mother dies. They were in foster care at some point and don’t want to go back. After their father is killed they go on the run to evade foster care. While on the run they get stranded and have to face two bad boys that won’t take no for an answer but They finally escape. The 2nd part of the book jumps ahead in their future life, with points of views from not only Jamy but also her daughter Skyler, and finally Dani.
