Real Love by Alexandria House

I listened to the audio version of this book via Hoopla. I mentioned this in a previous review of Made To Love, book 2, and discovered the same thing in this book featuring Denise.

Basically, book 1 had Greer sounding like Miss Corporate America unless she was talking to her girls. To put it bluntly, both Denise and Trevia sounded more ratchet than anything else. Book 2 had both Greer and Trevia sounding like Miss Corporate America, and Denise was the ratchet one. Suddenly, in book 3, all three ladies were Miss Corporate America and were only sounding ratchet when they were together or with their men. Code switching going on for days.

Now I'm not sure if this was described in the ebook, or this was just the way it came across in the audio version. It was just something I found to be interesting.

On to Miss Denise, the loan officer. That woman was out of control. She and Nyles from book 2 needed to hang out. She wanted to jump everyone who crossed her path.

I have to admit that her behavior in the tattoo parlor was surprising, especially with her starting a new business. Even Haasan was concerned about it. I had to wonder why he wanted this crazy out of control woman. Especially seeing how she seemed to put him in the booty call lane at first.

My mama always told me that people should not mess with a short, black woman. Denise proved her right time and again. Then there were the times that she seems so rational. Lol. Surprising considering Denise's mother was a hot mess in her own right.

This book was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I absolutely did not expect the twist that was thrown into the mix. Of course, I knew something was going to happen, but not that. Not in a million years did I expect that.

I would say that this book was the best of this series for me. That twist and what occurred afterwards made a major difference.
