I absolutely loved Flow, the first book in the series, and I was excited to read the second installment.
Whereas in the first book our main character Quin makes a lot of discoveries about The Beck, this one is more focused on how she and her friends try and find a way to fight back with the Resistance. Of course there are more secrets to be discovered and the only way to do that is to keep your head down and your eyes open.
While Break did not quite live up to my (high) expectations, in the over-arching story you really feel Break is gearing up to a pretty epic climax in the next book.
I really like Littlemore’s writing style. It is simple and engaging. Overall Break was a little less exciting than Flow, but it ended on a fantastic cliffhanger and I absolutely want to know how this story continues. I am looking forward to reading the next book when it comes out.
