The Inmate by Freida McFadden

OMGGGGG this book was amazing!!! i loved every second of it! there were times where i had to do stuff in my personal life that required me to put down the book but i couldn't get the book out of my head. Like i couldn't stop thinking about it until i picked up and started reading again. Throughout this entire book i was going back and forth between accusing tim and accusing shane all the way up until the very last 4 chapters. i was really set on it being the 2 of them teaming up trying to kill Brooke only to find out it was his damn mother who was pretending to be margie the babysitter along with shane that blew my mind. i understand that Brooke wanted to be a family with shane but girl??? leaving him alone with your child in the woods?? i get that shane is his father but 10 years is a very long time, people change especially in prison. i was screaming at my book when she let josh walk with shane into some creepy as woods like girllll he could easily kidnap josh and vanish without you knowing! but thank god Shane's mother lived to confess everything they had done to all of Brooke's friends and tracy. Also lets talk about Hunt for a second like wtf was his character about because for a second i caught myself accusing him for the murders lol i mean it wasn't hard to draw the conclusion when he was threatening brooke and forcing her to be nice to him only for him to show up dead too like bruh come on lol. i give tim props for forgiving brooke(better than me fs) and i love that he wanted to be there for josh after everything had happened. We love tim lol. BUT what really shook me was the epilogue! "JOSH" i was so confused lol then i read the whole thing and i was soooooo shocked. josh protected his mom and himself from being possibly murdered/kidnapped all because tim warned josh about shane telling him he was a bad man and that he might hurt brooke. again we love tim lol. i do feel sad that josh did kill his own father without knowing it and that he has some blood on his hands but its okay because he did it to protect his mom. Now with all this being said 5 stars is a lot of stars and this book sure as hell deserved it, every second of this book deserved 5 stars because not for one second was i bored!!
