Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein

4.0

It’s strange, this book was everything I expected it to be and it doesn’t matter because it was still such a good story and an important reminder as to the fight women still are facing every day against all the boys’ clubs out there. It took me a while to care about Lucy but she’s written in that way. I definitely related the most to Maddie who’s disdain of the app Pulse that rates people’s values on their level on the app much in the way being verified or having a million subscribers is in the world today. It was not only a fun story with real, diverse characters but it was a story that I hope continues and possible ends up on the big screen.
