For the first 100 pages, I wasn't so sure about the dark weirdness of Jane Steele. When vigilante Jane emerged in the next 50 pages, I became a bit more invested and curious. After that, though, I couldn't put it down and loved how Jane became more self-aware, open to others, and accepting of herself. Read this if you like: strong female characters, Victorian-era historical fiction, British settings, and characters with a bit of mystery in their pasts.
Moderate: Murder and Sexual violence
