This was a fantastic end to the H.I.V.E. series. I so wish Mark Walden had the success these books deserve, they should absolutely be adapted, but more than that they should be something recommended to kids and adults alike in the same breath as Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson, and Anthony Lockwood.

I loved this series, I loved it is a kid, and I loved coming back to it as an adult and finding it just as fun, adventure filled, and consuming as I did before. Walden hits on exactly the right notes here. I think ending a series is always hard, and there's no point criticising that. The ending was good, it was solid, I maybe wish it ended with a little more sense re. the direction these characters were going to go in, but overall I loved it.
