Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and It's All Small Stuff: Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things From Taking Over Your Life by Richard Carlson

3.0

This is a good book for anyone who has never read anything in the self help genre before, but as a person who has delved into this genre many times, I wasn't entirely impressed. I highlighted very few sections in the book to refer back to them, and that is very unlike me. This book is good if your biggest irritants are 5pm traffic or your kids bothering you while you try to work, but it doesn't go any deeper. If you are like me, and deal with heavy life altering situations, I recommend picking up 'Taking the Leap' by Pema Chodron or 'The Power of now' by Eckhart Tolle. Overall this book is easy to understand, and a good beginner read for someone whose never been introduced to spirituality or mental self help.
