Submerged Vol. 1 by Vita Ayala

This was a cool modern retelling of the Odyssey. The writing got a bit clunky at times, and the action wasn't always clear or well-staged, but I really loved the protagonist, and the overall story intrigues me enough that I have faith in the creative team, and am looking forward to buying volume two.
I recommend this for people who like modern takes on classic themes, fans of books that focus on queer people of color, and anyone who enjoys soap opera crime stories.
