An interesting story recalling the true events of a wartime tragedy. A typical family saga.
I did feel there was more sorry to tell, being only from one families perspective meant the lives of others who were also touched by the tragedy went left untold, and big swathes of story were left unfinished, But it was an enjoyable read nonetheless, if a little predictable.
A sanitised version of live in the east end during the war. It could have gone deeper, but didn’t really need to.
Praise to the writer, which wasn’t Millie.
