This book was quick, funny, and touching.  I didn't necessarily feel like I was living in the world of the characters, but more like I was watching the events unfold throguh my kitchen window.  The characters were impressively diverse; they were not token characters, but their uniquity added depth to the story.  There could be a book written about each character.
