Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs

4.0

I have the strange desire to say 'Mercy is back'. But really she never left. Her story was very different over the last two installments - not worse, just different. They did not have the taste and feel of what we were used to reading. Frost Burned brings us back full circle to really bad guys and a story that opens quick, breaks your heart within the first 30 pages and then the train does not stop until the very end. There is little breathing room as we are taking from one bad guy group to the next. We see some old friends, some old enemies - really there is reunion feel in parts of this - and a few new cast members. I really enjoyed this and look forward to more Mercy stories.
