I liked the book and the few surprises within. I thought I knew what was happening, who was responsible for the U boat operation but I was wrong.
My only criticism is that the book is called City of Women but there seemed to be a whole lot of men in the story so in that way I was surprised by the plot. Plus the ending seemed to leave things open for a sequel perhaps so there are a few unanswered questions as a result.
