Spoiler alert for book one but I'll be recapping a few key elements and giving a brief explanation of where characters are at the beginning of 'Good Girl, Bad Blood".

Okay, so everyone is still dealing with the aftermath of book one, and honestly, I didn't remember a whole bunch going into this but the book did a good job going over stuff in a way that wouldn't be repetitive for those that jumping right into this sequel. Max Hastings is now on trial for Sexual Assault, Elias Ward is in jail as well as Becca Bell. Nat hates Pip because Pip could be a little callous when interviewing people and she essentially accused Nat of murder for a hot second. Pip is still keeping secrets for Naomi and Cara because of the hit and run that happened with Max, and now to top everything off Connor's brother Jamie has gone missing and the police aren't taking anything seriously. But at least Pip and Ravi are cute and they had a lot of success with their podcast!

The plot gets going when Connor approaches Pip for help to find Jamie. At first, Pip doesn't want to get involved because she'd become obsessed with the Andie Bell case, but when the police dismiss her friend's concerns she decides she has to. What started as a simple missing person's case of course becomes something larger that involves the whole town, secret revenge plots are revealed, drug operations, and hidden identities are discovered.

I really liked this and the podcast element was very engaging as well, it was a cool new way to showcase the evidence that Pip was collecting, but I do wish we had gotten a bit more Ravi. This book did have a wild ending which I was expecting due to the previous book's explosive finale, and I can see a lot of hints that Pip will be struggling a lot with her mental health and faith in the police in the last book of this series.

I think to keep everything fresh and my enjoyment at the highest level I'll be jumping into the sequel right away!
