This book is very hard to describe. I would not consider it plot driven, but the characters do go on somewhat of a journey. It's definitely not a feel good story; however, I think it gives a glimpse into what some people's lives were like during that time in South Africa. I listened to the audiobook, and found the narrator very pleasant to listen to as well.
