Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland by Melinda DuChamp

3.0

Free Kindle read.

So, I'm not a big fan of this genre...but it was a free read, and since it was touted as a parody of one of the worst books of all time coupled with a classic work of fiction, I thought what they hey.

I was actually surprised.

It was cleverly and well written. The authoress actually had something to say and there's actually a point to Alice's journey in Wonderland that ends with a rather sweet, albeit weird, love story. It has very little to do with that 50 shades book, even as a parody (it's a very loose definition of a parody) but rather the author chose the title to ride on the coattails of a popular moneymaker. Which is fine with me since that 'moneymaker' book did the same thing. Good for Melinda (which is a pseudonym for another well published authoress, and you can tell).
