foxglove definitely suffered from second book syndrome. it was a little long winded at times, and some of it felt rather forced. i still enjoyed it, but to a certain degree i feel that this could have remained a duology and this second interwoven storyline to yield a third book was not necessary. i still plan on reading wisteria, but i’m a bit conflicted on what i perceive to be a bit of publishing industry greed….
4 stars because i enjoyed the main plot of signa and death, and the atmosphere within it, but the predictable twists re: <spoilers> blythe and fate were a bit overwrought.
