The Fellowship - The Literary Lives of the Inklings: J.R.R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Owen Barfield, Charles Williams by Philip Zaleski, Carol Zaleski

informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

4.5

Charming and thought provoking- the novel encourages the reader to reexamine their own views on storytelling, and despite its sometimes overly-academic diction, manages to reawaken one’s own belief in fantasy. Though it’s an entertaining read for fans of Tolkien and Lewis, it shares the fatal flaw of every detailed biography: it’s SLOW.
