The Diary of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell

4.0

This books follows the "adventures" of a bookseller, owner of Scotland's largest second hand book shop.

The book chronicles his day to day activities in a diary format (as the title suggests, duh!). The book in itself is a quick read, a delight due to his wry sense of humor. You feel a special connection to all the characters in the book, Shaun with his snide remarks, Nicky with her eccentricity and Captain for his sheer awesomeness. Thrown in are customers of all shapes, sizes and various degree of weirdness. Add to that a bit of book selling nitty-gritties, I'm sold!

I'm adding visiting the Wigtown book festival in my bucket list. Loved this book!
