Did not finish.
I found this book really hard to read, and honestly, I’m happy that it was free on my kindle unlimited membership and that membership was on a free trail.
Don’t get me wrong, Mary can write inner monologue beautifully, I thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the inner monologue, however, the conversation between characters threatened to put me to sleep- it was boring, forced and super lacklustre- without reading any of the authors other books, I can’t comment if it’s her writing style or just the characters.
I love a good slow burn relationship, but that wick was just burning too slowly for me.
I found the characters unrelatable and unrealistic.
Will I read any of Mary’s other works? Unsure.
