ANGELS OF THE RESISTANCE: A WWII NOVEL

By: Noelle Salazar

The depth of this novel is amazing. It has the power to make you giggle, cry, wail, and more. Dutch sisters Lien and Elif are two teenage girls who want to join the resistance when the Nazis take over their small village.

Their mother doesn't want Lien to join, because she's the baby of the family and thinks Lien is too young. Their father used to take them shooting, and Lien always hit the mark. Her family nicknamed her "Sure Shot."

The novel follows their training and missions in the Resistance. Lien rationalizes it with 'A Life for a Life.'

I would hope if our country was ever taken over in this way, that I'd have the guts to stand up to the interlopers and be a positive member of the resistance. I'm afraid that I might be too soft.

I thankfully received a complimentary copy of #angelsoftheresistance from #mira I was under no obligation to post a review.
