I like reading books about war. Not just the historical ones but the ones who take you there. WW1, WW2 are the greatest wars ever mostly because people writing about them have been there and do not spread romanticism.

But That was way beyond all of my expectations.
It was emotional, heartbreaking and real! It is Russian, purely Russian, but real.
I don’t think I’ll ever read it again, but it is certainly going to appear on the list of my favorites. It was one of those books who make you suffer as the character suffers.
