Dark and deeply twisted. This psychological thriller was captivating and twisted as hell.
This was such a mixed bag for me. It was so hard to put down this book and I had to take breaks because there were parts SO spicy or SO dark that I needed a pause.
And then the ending happened and the story lost me. I appreciate the twist Colleen Hoover was going for but I didn’t buy it. The MC made some extra crazy decisions for this happily ever after ending and I was bummed to end the book going, “Hmmm, nope. Not for me.”
That being said I really applaud Colleen Hoover for going for a thriller and I hope she writes more! She has the captivating side down, now to just stick the ending.
Triggers: child abuse, child death, murder
