A really enjoyable entry in the series, [b:A Gathering of Shadows|20764879|A Gathering of Shadows (Shades of Magic, #2)|V.E. Schwab|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1429627728s/20764879.jpg|43242915] continues to delight with its main strength being the characters and the system of magic. I enjoy lovable thieves, and Delilah Bard is one of my favorites. The addition of pirates and a magical contest was welcome. I can't wait to read the next novel.
