While I did enjoy my reading experience of this particular Kristin Hannah installment, I struggled a bit with reading Tullys perspective at times, since I found her character a bit frustrating. I think for the most part that is due to the fact that I feel like I identify more closely with Kate as a character, and was often really frustrated with Tullys behavior and her lack of awareness of others feelings. However, that’s not to say that I didn’t feel for her. As you spend time with these characters, grow up with them  and experience life with them, you see how truly horrible things were/are for Tully. It’s no wonder she could be selfish or struggle with being there for others when they needed her, since she never got that for herself as a young girl. Overall, I kept coming back to the book and found it hard to put down because I was attached to these characters and wanted to know more. Thank you once again Kristin Hannah, for a soul crushing read. Why is it that I am always left sobbing after finishing your novels??? I would like some compensation at this point lol.
I would recommend this to those who enjoy slice of life, dramatic stories, where you can truly immerse yourself in the lives of the characters. Another job well done, mrs. Hannah.
