I loved the writing style but…
And Mortania is dead? Just like that? It seems like Walter just didn’t know what to do with her, and honestly I really didn’t know what her goal is. To manipulate Alyce? Why though, if she can just essentially possess Alyce, as she has done later in the book. Just possess earlier if you could do something like that and assume control.

The entire time I was rooting for Regan and Alyce to be together, because she’s is obviously the better love interest. It seems that Aurora and Alyce are only together because of the whole True Love™ thing, which feels to me like more of a shackle upon both of them.And Mortania is dead? Just like that? It seems like Walter just didn’t know what to do with her, and honestly I really didn’t know what her goal is. To manipulate Alyce?
