Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds & Shape Our Futures by Merlin Sheldrake
3.75
Really enjoyed this! I think there’s a lot of merit in being able to merge ideas of biology with philosophy. Reading this made me feel like how ancient scientists must have felt towards their respective disciplines. Working in the STEM field, biology can quickly become mundane and only focused on results and FACTS. ‘Entangled Life’ is a good reminder that biology is ART.
My biggest complaint is that I felt this was a little rushed. It’s a lot of information to fit into 250 pages, and I feel it could have benefitted from elaboration and further exploration into the topics. Sometimes came across as just rambling, and I wanted to get into the meat of the ideas more!
Would recommend.
