This was the most breathtaking writing ive read in awhile. The style is so sensual and delicious, quite literally, with all the emphasis on food. I love how food played a huge part in the novel, manifested in different forms of hunger / desire / loneliness. I adore Taiye’ character so so much. I only wish we got a bit more of Kehinde’s story and the mother’s, I felt there were some loose ends with them (I wanted to see more of her relationship with Farouq and her past). Actually so beautiful and gorgeous overall.
