i loved this second in the wayfarer series by Chambers - light and funny and absolutely adorable characters that you cannot help but fall in love with. i much enjoyed the back story of pepper (jane) and her character development, intermixed with sidra, an AI who has positioned herself in a new body. perhaps my favorite part of this read was that i found my mind bending and reforming my own opinions on the definition of what it means to be "alive" - something that Chambers does an amazing job with, just posing the deeper questions in a creative, thoughtful way that you cannot help but linger on. in the words of young jane... it was real, real good.
