A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

Sequels are tricky. I don't have all the questions answered yet. There is character development that hasn't been completed. I know a decent amount, but not everything. What I do know is that I love this world (or these worlds, really), and I can't wait to read A Conjuring of Light.
Just like A Darker Shade of Magic, this book made me gasp, giggle, and swoon. There's a ton of adventure and so many moments where I thought, "YES FINALLY!" There were some predictable parts of the story, but primarily it was just jumping from one great chapter to another. Schwab knows how to reel you in and keep you hooked.
I did a buddy-read for this, and my friend and I were sending rapid-fire texts back and forth with exclamations throughout the entire book! I loved every second of it.
