The Heart As He Hears It by A.M. Arthur
4.0
This is rather enlightening story that intrigued me from the beginning. It gave me an insight into the male porn industry I would never of had and now I want to read the other books with these connected characters. This is the third book in the Perspectives but can be read as a stand alone.
This story covers an awful lot of serious subjects and does it well. There are a lot of stumbling blocks for Jon and Isaac in this story. You don’t feel cheated by covering so much and you can see how much both of them have to learn. Some people may struggle with the hang ups that each other these characters have but in my opinion the author did a great job tackling these issues. Isaac is a shut in after witnessing severe abuse as a young child as well as abuse from his father. Jon struggles with self image and overcoming an eating disorder just to touch on a few of the things that make each of these two very strong characters.
I really enjoyed watching these two come together and finally get to their HEA. There are a lot of cute and funny moments to help balance the tough times and as I mentioned before I will now be looking to read the other books in the Perspectives series.
I received a free copy of this book to read for Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
