There was a chapter in the Ship of Destiny where
Tintaglia finds Kelsingra
. The worldbuilding in that one chapter alone was 100x better than anything in this book. We learned more about dragonkind and Elderlings in that chapter than we did in this whole book, which is supposed to be dedicated to be all about the dragons.

In a 16 book series you can expect a book to be not up to par with others, but this book is otherworldly awful compared to the 9 books that came before it (I’d like to say that all the books before this are all absolutely incredible). The only reason I am reading Dragon Haven and not just skipping to The Fitz and the Fool trilogy is because the books haven’t arrived yet and I love this world way too much. And also because it probably can’t get much worse than this.
