I really loved this book. As someone on the ace-spectrum, many of the things the main protagonist experienced were super familiar. While we're kind of on different ends of the ace-spectrum and I'm not aromantic, she was very relatable to me. In general, I liked that the author focused on one ace-experience while leaving room (via discussions and other ace side characters) to clarify that there are many different (and valid!) experiences. YA doesn't often work for me, but I liked the university setting and the YA-tone worked well for a book that is basically about finding out who you are and what you want your life to be like. Some parts were very explanation-heavy, but I think that worked really well for this particular book. I also really liked the focus on friendship. I'm so glad this exists and I'm so happy to see more ace representation. Not every single ace book/character has to perfectly represent every ace and/or aro person (which is impossible) and instead I hope at some point we will have a large collection of stories that explore aspects of the ace-spectrum via different characters that we are allowed to get to know in depth.
