Thank you so much, Stehanie Harper, for a copy of your book in exchange for my honest review.
Wesley suffers from agoraphobia & hasn't left his apartment in 5 years. One day, his regular grocery delivery guy isn't at his door when he lifts the chain. Happy is there & enters his life like a hurricane. Most of the characters are loveable & all are believable. Angel may be my favorite. He kind of steals the show. Wesley's anxiety is palpable to the reader without making Wesley less of a person. He has a whole life in his apartment, but there are a few characters that treat him as broken.
From the title we know Wesley goes outside. The journey to get there is intense anxiety & a testament to what a person will do for love.
The pace is steady & the writing is great. As a Colorado girl (non native), I love the Denver setting too.
