As Old As Time by Liz Braswell
3.0
3.5/5
Beauty and the Beast is one of if not my all time favourite movie, Disney or not, and I was super eager to read this. I was uncertain to whether I had read this book before but as it progressed I realised I have in fact read this a few years ago. Unfortunately this time around I was still not as obsessed with it as I wasn’t last time either. It was a good story of course but it just felt very similar to the original in places whereas Once Upon a Dream felt a lot more original throughout. I still liked the story and seeing how insanity and not wanting to accept yourself were contributing factors it just unfortunately was not my favourite Beauty and the Beast retelling.
